ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਸਿਆਸਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੁਣ ਨੀਤੀਆਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਚਰਚਾ ਵਾਇਰਲ ਕਲਿੱਪਾਂ, ਕਥਿਤ ਵੀਡੀਓਜ਼, ਨਿੱਜੀ ਹਮਲਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਤੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਵਿਚਾਲੇ ਸੋਸ਼ਲ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਜੰਗ ਦੀ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਦੂਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਕਰਜ਼ਾ, ਨਸ਼ੇ, ਬੇਰੁਜ਼ਗਾਰੀ, ਪਰਵਾਸ, ਖੇਤੀਬਾੜੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਨੂੰਨ-ਵਿਵਸਥਾ ਵਰਗੇ ਮੁੱਦੇ ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਹਨ। ਸਵਾਲ ਇਹ ਹੈ: ਕੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀਆਂ ਵੱਡੀਆਂ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਪਾਰਟੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਲੱਗਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਭਾਵਨਾਤਮਕ ਵਿਵਾਦ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਅਸਲ ਸਮੱਸਿਆਵਾਂ ਹੱਲ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਫਾਇਦਾ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ? ਅਤੇ ਜਿਵੇਂ-ਜਿਵੇਂ ਇਹ ਤਕਨੀਕੀ ਜੰਗ ਤੇਜ਼ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਕੀ ਵੋਟਰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਦੀ ਲੜਾਈ ਦੇਖ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਜਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਅਸਲ ਮੁੱਦਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਹਟਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਦੌੜ ?
