BJP is once again projecting higher MSP for Kharif crops as proof that Prime Minister Modi’s Government stands firmly with Punjab’s farmers, while also promising that a future “double engine” Government in Punjab would bring better procurement, infrastructure, and prosperity. But after years of farmer protests, mistrust over farm laws, rising debt, and anger over crop diversification policies, can higher MSP announcements alone really rebuild BJP’s political credibility among Punjab’s farmers, or is the party still struggling to overcome the deep political damage created during the farm agitation era ?

ਭਾਜਪਾ ਇਕ ਵਾਰ ਫਿਰ ਖਰੀਫ਼ ਫਸਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਵੱਧੇ ਹੋਏ ਘੱਟੋ-ਘੱਟ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਮੁੱਲ (MSP) ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਦੇ ਸਬੂਤ ਵਜੋਂ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਮੋਦੀ ਦੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਖੜੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਦੀ “ਡਬਲ ਇੰਜਣ” ਸਰਕਾਰ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਖਰੀਦ ਪ੍ਰਣਾਲੀ, ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਢਾਂਚਾਗਤ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਵੱਧ ਖੁਸ਼ਹਾਲੀ ਦੇ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਚਲੇ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਅੰਦੋਲਨ, ਖੇਤੀ ਕਾਨੂੰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਬਣੇ ਅਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ, ਵੱਧਦੇ ਕਰਜ਼ੇ ਅਤੇ ਫਸਲ ਵਿਭਿੰਨਤਾ ਨੀਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਨਾਰਾਜ਼ਗੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ, ਕੀ ਸਿਰਫ ਘੱਟੋ-ਘੱਟ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਮੁੱਲ (MSP) ਵੱਧਾਉਣ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਰਾਜਨੀਤਿਕ ਭਰੋਸੇਯੋਗਤਾ ਮੁੜ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਮਯਾਬ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ, ਜਾਂ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਅੰਦੋਲਨ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਹੋਏ ਡੂੰਘੇ ਰਾਜਨੀਤਿਕ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਆਉਣ ਲਈ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ?
