Manpreet Singh Ayali says Akali Dal ‘Waris Punjab De’ will contest elections on its own symbol and is working to secure official party registration. But the possibility of a Shiromani Akali Dal-BJP alliance could change Punjab's political equations. It may bring traditional Akali voters back under one larger political banner, leaving a new formation with a bigger challenge: convincing people why it deserves a separate place in Punjab politics. If the traditional Akali vote comes together again, what will be ‘Waris Punjab De's’ strongest reason to exist as a separate political force ?

ਮਨਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਯਾਲੀ ਦਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ‘ਵਾਰਿਸ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ’ ਆਪਣੇ ਚੋਣ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ 'ਤੇ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਲੜੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੀ ਰਜਿਸਟ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਯਤਨ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਸੰਭਾਵੀ ਗੱਠਜੋੜ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਸਮੀਕਰਨ ਬਦਲ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਰਵਾਇਤੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਵੋਟਰ ਮੁੜ ਇਕ ਵੱਡੇ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਮੰਚ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ। ਅਜਿਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਕ ਨਵੀਂ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਜਥੇਬੰਦੀ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਇਹ ਚੁਣੌਤੀ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਵੱਖਰੀ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਅਤੇ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਯਕੀਨ ਦਿਵਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜੇ ਰਵਾਇਤੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਵੋਟ ਮੁੜ ਇਕੱਠੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਇਕ ਵੱਖਰੀ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਤਾਕਤ ਵਜੋਂ ‘ਵਾਰਿਸ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ’ ਦੀ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਕੀ ਹੋਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ ?
