Yet in Punjab, the Lokpal post has remained vacant for nearly a year after Justice Vinod Kumar Sharma’s term ended on October 8, 2025. If fighting corruption was central to AAP’s political identity, what does a year without a Lokpal say about the gap between its anti-corruption promise and its governance ?

ਲੋਕਪਾਲ ਉਸ ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਚਾਰ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਅੰਦੋਲਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਗਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇਕ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਨੂੰ ਜਨਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਪਰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ 8 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ 2025 ਨੂੰ ਜਸਟਿਸ ਵਿਨੋਦ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਜਕਾਲ ਖਤਮ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਲੋਕਪਾਲ ਦਾ ਅਹੁਦਾ ਲਗਭਗ ਇਕ ਸਾਲ ਤੋਂ ਖਾਲੀ ਹੈ। ਜੇ ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਚਾਰ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਲੜਾਈ ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੀ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਦਾ ਅਹਿਮ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਲਗਭਗ ਇਕ ਸਾਲ ਤੱਕ ਲੋਕਪਾਲ ਦੀ ਗੈਰਹਾਜ਼ਰੀ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਚਾਰ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਵਾਅਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਵਿਚਲੇ ਫਰਕ ਬਾਰੇ ਕੀ ਦੱਸਦੀ ਹੈ ?
