Government de-addiction centre admissions in Punjab jumped from 9,577 in 2024 to 25,290 in 2025, while 45% of jail inmates were reported to be drug addicts. The government calls the rising admissions an encouraging sign that more people are seeking treatment. But the numbers also raise a sharper question: If the drug crisis is growing this fast, is the Aam Aadmi Party Government winning the battle against drugs or simply treating a crisis it has failed to control ? ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਛੁਡਾਊ ਕੇਂਦਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਖਲੇ 2024 ਵਿੱਚ 9,577 ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਕੇ 2025 ਵਿੱਚ 25,290 ਹੋ ਗਏ, ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ ਜੇਲ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ 45% ਕੈਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ੇ ਦਾ ਆਦੀ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਧ ਰਹੇ ਦਾਖਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਦਾ ਚੰਗਾ ਸੰਕੇਤ ਦੱਸ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਵੱਧ ਲੋਕ ਇਲਾਜ ਲਈ ਅੱਗੇ ਆ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਇਹ ਅੰਕੜੇ ਇਕ ਵੱਡਾ ਸਵਾਲ ਵੀ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ: ਜੇ ਨਸ਼ੇ ਦਾ ਸੰਕਟ ਇਨ੍ਹੀਂ ਤੇਜ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਵੱਧ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਕੀ ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਖ਼ਿਲਾਫ਼ ਲੜਾਈ ਜਿੱਤ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਉਸ ਸੰਕਟ ਦਾ ਇਲਾਜ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ’ਤੇ ਕਾਬੂ ਪਾਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਨਾਕਾਮ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ? ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅੰਕੜਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਨੀਤੀ ਬਾਰੇ ਕੀ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ?
