With the BJP preparing for 2027 and debating whether to go solo in Punjab, one question still hangs in the air- why has the party still not named a Chief Ministerial face ? Sunil Jakhar remains State President without full clarity, Ravneet Singh Bittu is being projected nationally despite losing his seat, and Captain Amarinder Singh’s entry once promised much but now feels politically muted. Even as Haryana is used as a launch pad and Modi–Shah set the tone, Punjab BJP looks unsure about who should actually lead from the front. Is the delay a careful strategy to avoid internal friction or a sign that the BJP still lacks a leader who can command broad acceptance in Punjab ?

Suggestions - SLAH

A) BJP is deliberately avoiding a CM face to keep all factions together till 2027.

B) Too many leaders, but no one with a statewide pull, is delaying the decision.

C) The party is waiting to see whether going solo or aligning will shape the face.

D) Strategy may be ready, but the absence of a clear leader could cost BJP credibility in Punjab.

2027 ਦੀ ਤਿਆਰੀ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਕੱਲੇ ਚੋਣ ਲੜਨ ਜਾਂ ਗਠਜੋੜ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੋਚਦਿਆਂ, ਭਾਜਪਾ ਅੱਗੇ ਇਕ ਸਵਾਲ ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਖੜਾ ਹੈ, ਪਾਰਟੀ ਨੇ ਹਾਲੇ ਤੱਕ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਦਾ ਚਿਹਰਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਐਲਾਨਿਆ ? ਸੁਨੀਲ ਜਾਖੜ ਪੂਰੀ ਸਪਸ਼ਟਤਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਸੂਬਾ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਹਨ, ਰਵਨੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਿੱਟੂ ਸੀਟ ਹਾਰਣ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ ਕੌਮੀ ਪੱਧਰ ‘ਤੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਰੱਖੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਕੈਪਟਨ ਅਮਰਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਐਂਟਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਉਮੀਦਾਂ ਸਨ, ਉਹ ਹੁਣ ਘੱਟ ਲੱਗਦੀਆਂ ਨੇ। ਹਰਿਆਣਾ ਨੂੰ ਲਾਂਚ ਪੈਡ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਮੋਦੀ–ਸ਼ਾਹ ਮਾਹੌਲ ਤਾਂ ਬਣਾਉਂਦੇ ਨੇ, ਪਰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਇਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਤੈਅ ਕਰ ਪਾਈ ਕਿ ਅੱਗੇ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਕੌਣ ਕਰੇ। ਕੀ ਇਹ ਦੇਰੀ ਅੰਦਰੂਨੀ ਖਿੱਚਤਾਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਣ ਲਈ ਸੋਚੀ-ਸਮਝੀ ਚਾਲ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਇਹ ਦਰਸਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਕੋਲ ਅਜੇ ਤੱਕ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਮਨਜ਼ੂਰ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨੇਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ?
