Malvinder Singh Kang, the Lok Sabha MP from Anandpur Sahib, has recently made remarks asking Aam Aadmi Party to work like a more democratic body, share power, and improve coordination. Kang, who rose through student politics, was originally with Bharatiya Janata Party before leaving during the farmers’ protest period and later joining Aam Aadmi Party. When a sitting MP openly points to internal problems, it naturally raises political questions. Kang is an important Punjab face for the party, so his words carry added weight. But criticism inside a party does not always mean plans to quit. Sometimes it is a push for reform, and sometimes it signals deeper unrest. With Aam Aadmi Party facing defections and pressure, the real question is whether Malvinder Singh Kang is trying to fix things from within, or slowly distancing himself. Is Anandpur Sahib’s MP still fully committed, or keeping future options open ?
