Several leaders who left rival parties to join the BJP may have hoped for bigger roles and Assembly tickets in Punjab. But if the BJP renews its alliance with the Shiromani Akali Dal ahead of the 2027 elections, seat-sharing could become a tough test. With the Shiromani Akali Dal seeking a major share of seats, will the BJP’s newcomers get the tickets they were promised or will old allies take priority while turncoats are left with crumbs ? Did they switch sides for a bigger future, only to find the seats already taken ?

ਦੂਜੀਆਂ ਪਾਰਟੀਆਂ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਏ ਕਈ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਡੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਟਿਕਟਾਂ ਮਿਲਣ ਦੀ ਉਮੀਦ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਪਰ ਜੇ ਭਾਜਪਾ 2027 ਦੀਆਂ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਨਾਲ ਮੁੜ ਗੱਠਜੋੜ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਸੀਟਾਂ ਦੀ ਵੰਡ ਇਕ ਵੱਡੀ ਚੁਣੌਤੀ ਬਣ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਵੱਧ ਸੀਟਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਕੀ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਏ ਨਵੇਂ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਟਿਕਟਾਂ ਮਿਲਣਗੀਆਂ ਜਾਂ ਪੁਰਾਣੇ ਸਾਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਹਿਲ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਦਲ-ਬਦਲੂ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਦੇ ਹਿੱਸੇ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਬਚੇ-ਖੁਚੇ ਮੌਕੇ ਆਉਣਗੇ ? ਕੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਦੀ ਉਮੀਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਬਦਲੀ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਹੁਣ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਸੀਟਾਂ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਚਣਗੀਆਂ ?
