Farmers are protesting over power cuts, MSP, farm debt and other long pending demands, with anger being reported against both the Aam Aadmi Party Government in Punjab and the BJP led Centre. For Congress, this could open political space in rural Punjab ahead of 2027. But farmer anger alone will not decide the political outcome. Congress would need to turn these grievances into a clear campaign, rebuild its rural organisation and convince farmers that it has more to offer than promises. Can Congress turn the growing frustration with the Aam Aadmi Party and BJP into a real political opening, or will it struggle to convert farmer anger into a comeback ?

ਕਿਸਾਨ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਕਟੌਤੀ, ਐਮ.ਐਸ.ਪੀ., ਕਰਜ਼ੇ ਅਤੇ ਲੰਮੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੋਂ ਲਟਕਦੀਆਂ ਹੋਰ ਮੰਗਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਵਾਲੀ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ, ਦੋਵਾਂ ਖ਼ਿਲਾਫ਼ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾਰਾਜ਼ਗੀ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਅਜਿਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ 2027 ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਲਈ ਪੇਂਡੂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਥਾਂ ਬਣ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਨਾਰਾਜ਼ਗੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਵੋਟਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਦਲਦੀ। ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੁੱਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਚੋਣ ਏਜੰਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਦਲਣਾ ਪਵੇਗਾ, ਪਿੰਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣਾ ਸੰਗਠਨ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਪਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਦਿਵਾਉਣਾ ਪਵੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਕੋਲ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਵਾਅਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ, ਸਗੋਂ ਠੋਸ ਜਵਾਬ ਵੀ ਹਨ। ਕੀ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਖ਼ਿਲਾਫ਼ ਵੱਧ ਰਹੀ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਨਾਰਾਜ਼ਗੀ ਨੂੰ ਅਸਲ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਮੌਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਦਲ ਕੇ ਵਾਪਸੀ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਰੋਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਫਿਰ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਰਹਿ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ ?
