Amid fresh speculation over a possible Shiromani Akali Dal–BJP alliance, Punjab BJP Vice-President Subhash Sharma has taken a sharp dig at the Badals, crediting Prime Minister Narendra Modi with reducing the influence of “family-based parties”. The timing is interesting; the BJP is attacking the Badals while talk of the old alliance making a comeback continues. So, has the BJP really moved on from the Badals or is this just politics before a possible reunion ?
