Gen Z is already vocal about education, jobs, climate, digital rights, public transport and the future they want. But the bigger question is what happens after they speak. The argument is that governments need to move beyond token consultations and create formal ways for young people to shape decisions, through youth advisory councils, participatory budgeting, policy fellowships and local consultations. Should Gen Z move from being heard to actually helping shape policy ?
Review - DEKHO
A) Gen Z should have a formal role in policymaking.
B) Youth councils could bring fresh ideas into governance.
C) Young people should advise, but elected leaders should decide.
D) Gen Z needs more than a voice; it needs a seat at the table.
Arvind Kejriwal is warning Punjabis that a Congress Government could end free electricity, women’s financial aid and other welfare schemes. But as Punjab’s debt continues to mount, is Kejriwal equally concerned about how the state will pay for these promises ? While he focuses on what voters might lose under Congress, where is the discussion about the rising cost of subsidies and the burden future generations may have to bear ? Is Kejriwal protecting Punjab’s welfare or selling voter-friendly promises without giving enough attention to their long-term financial cost ? What should be Kejriwal’s biggest priority on Punjab’s welfare spending ?
AAP claims Bhagwant Mann was detained for nearly three hours at Delhi airport after returning from Paris and fined ₹50,000. The party alleges officials cited “pressure from above,” but the reason for the fine remains unclear. A Chief Minister returns from Paris and allegedly spends three hours at the airport before receiving a ₹50,000 fine. Is this routine protocol, a case of political pressure, or another round of Centre–State blame games ? When leaders fight over power, does Punjab’s dignity become the casualty ?
