Sunil Kumar Jakhar remains an important BJP leader in Punjab, but after nearly three years as state president, he has been replaced by Kewal Singh Dhillon. With the BJP preparing for a much bigger 2027 battle, his reduced organisational role has raised questions about how the party plans to use his experience, political network and understanding of Punjab.
