Punjab BJP often speaks about women empowerment, and its Mahila Morcha regularly conducts outreach programmes, membership drives, and public campaigns across the state. Leaders such as Jai Inder Kaur and Preneet Kaur remain among the party's most recognisable women faces in Punjab. However, critics argue that beyond a handful of prominent names, women continue to have limited representation in winnable seats and the party's most influential decision-making positions. As Punjab moves towards the 2027 Assembly elections, how would you rate the Punjab BJP's commitment to women's representation?

Hardeep Singh Puri says the BJP will not ally with the Shiromani Akali Dal at present and that the old 22-seat formula is finished. Yet BJP leaders keep discussing what a future alliance would look like, including equal seat-sharing. If BJP has already put a full stop on the SAD alliance, why does it keep explaining the terms of an alliance that supposedly does not exist ? Is the door really closed or is BJP just keeping the “maybe” button within reach for 2027 ?
हरदीप सिंह पुरी का कहना है कि फिलहाल भाजपा शिरोमणि अकाली दल के साथ गठबंधन नहीं करेगी और पुराना 22 सीटों वाला फॉर्मूला भी खत्म हो चुका है। फिर भी भाजपा के नेता भविष्य में गठबंधन की संभावनाओं और बराबर सीटों के बंटवारे की बात करते रहते हैं। अगर भाजपा ने अकाली दल के गठबंधन पर पहले ही पूर्ण विराम लगा दिया है, तो वह ऐसे गठबंधन की शर्तें बार-बार क्यों बता रही है जो फिलहाल अस्तित्व में ही नहीं है ? क्या दरवाज़ा सच में बंद है या भाजपा 2027 के लिए “शायद” का बटन अपने पास रख रही है ?
BJP has put its national and Punjab leaders behind the Nasha Mukt Punjab campaign, with rallies and yatras taking the drug issue across the state. But Punjab’s political concerns go far beyond drugs, jobs, farming, industry, migration, debt, water and the rural economy remain major issues. If BJP keeps sending its biggest leaders to Punjab to repeat the same Nasha Mukt message, is the party offering a wider political vision for Punjab or has it found one issue to keep the campaign stage busy ?
