More than a decade after the Behbal Kalan police firing and sacrilege incidents, investigations continue, new names are summoned and fresh promises of justice are made. Yet for many Punjabis, closure remains as distant as ever. This raises a deeper question: Can justice that arrives after years of political change still heal a society's wounds, or does delayed accountability slowly turn truth into another political battlefield ? When faith, justice and politics become intertwined, what ultimately survives, the search for truth, or the struggle for power ?
बेअदबी और बहबल कलां गोलीकांड की घटनाओं को एक दशक से अधिक समय बीत चुका है। जांचें अब भी जारी हैं, नए नाम सामने आ रहे हैं और न्याय के नए वादे किए जा रहे हैं। लेकिन आज भी अनेक पंजाबियों को न्याय और निष्कर्ष उतने ही दूर दिखाई देते हैं। ऐसे में एक बड़ा सवाल उठता है: क्या वर्षों बाद मिलने वाला न्याय समाज के घाव भर सकता है, या जवाबदेही में हुई देरी सच को भी एक और राजनीतिक रणभूमि बना देती है ? जब आस्था, न्याय और राजनीति एक-दूसरे में उलझ जाएँ, तो आखिर बचता क्या है, सत्य की खोज या सत्ता की लड़ाई ?
