Since 2014, the BJP has repeatedly tried different political formulas to crack Punjab, fielding Arun Jaitley in 2014, Hardeep Singh Puri in 2019 and Taranjit Singh Sandhu in 2024 from Amritsar, inducting leaders such as Captain Amarinder Singh and Ravneet Singh Bittu from rival parties, and relying on repeated outreach by leaders from outside the state, including Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini. Yet Punjab has continued to deny the party a major electoral breakthrough. As 2027 approaches, one uncomfortable question refuses to go away: Has the BJP mistaken political engineering for political acceptance ? Is the party trying to manufacture a mandate instead of earning one ?

Proposals - SUNLO

A) The BJP appears more focused on engineering electoral outcomes than earning Punjab's trust.

B) Punjab has repeatedly rejected shortcuts to political acceptance, the BJP must build credibility from the ground up.

C) Importing leaders cannot compensate for the absence of a strong, independent Punjab identity.

D) A mandate cannot be manufactured through political experimentation; it must be earned through genuine public confidence.

2014 ਤੋਂ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣਾ ਆਧਾਰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਫ਼ਾਰਮੂਲੇ ਅਜ਼ਮਾਏ ਹਨ, 2014 ਵਿੱਚ ਅਰੁਣ ਜੇਟਲੀ, 2019 ਵਿੱਚ ਹਰਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਪੁਰੀ ਅਤੇ 2024 ਵਿੱਚ ਤਰਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੰਧੂ ਨੂੰ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਤੋਂ ਚੋਣ ਮੈਦਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਤਾਰਿਆ, ਕੈਪਟਨ ਅਮਰਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਰਵਨੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਿੱਟੂ ਵਰਗੇ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਪਾਰਟੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਕੀਤਾ, ਅਤੇ ਹਰਿਆਣਾ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨਾਇਬ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੈਣੀ ਵਰਗੇ ਬਾਹਰੀ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਵੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ। ਫਿਰ ਵੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਨੇ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਨੂੰ ਅਜੇ ਤੱਕ ਕੋਈ ਵੱਡਾ ਜਨ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਤਾ। 2027 ਦੀਆਂ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਇਕ ਅਸਹਜ ਸਵਾਲ ਮੁੜ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ: ਕੀ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਨੇ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਸਵੀਕਾਰਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਇੰਜੀਨੀਅਰਿੰਗ ਸਮਝ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ? ਕੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਜਿੱਤਣ ਦੀ ਬਜਾਏ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਰਣਨੀਤੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਜਨ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ?
