As the ED raids Punjab Minister Sanjeev Arora’s residence for the third time amid allegations of fake GST bills, money laundering, and Dubai-linked financial transactions, the political temperature in Punjab is rising rapidly. While Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Aam Aadmi Party leaders call it “pressure politics” and an “ED-BJP alliance,” the opposition says repeated raids on ministers and close associates are exposing deeper cracks inside the Government’s clean-image claims. So now the bigger question is: Is Punjab witnessing genuine anti-corruption action, or is the state entering a full-scale political and agency war ahead of the 2027 elections ?
