ਸ਼ਰਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਢਿੱਲੋਂ ਕਦੇ ਮਾਲਵਾ ਪੱਟੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਦੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਭਰੋਸੇਮੰਦ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਨੇਤਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਿਣੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਸਨ। ਸਾਹਨੇਵਾਲ ਤੋਂ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਦੋ ਵਾਰ ਜਿੱਤ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਢਿੱਲੋਂ ਨੇ ਇਕ ਤਜਰਬੇਕਾਰ ਨੇਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਸੰਗਠਨਾਤਮਕ ਪਕੜ ਵਾਲੇ ਚਿਹਰੇ ਦੀ ਛਵੀ ਬਣਾਈ। ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ-ਭਾਜਪਾ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸਿੰਚਾਈ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਸਥਿਰਤਾ ਦੋਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਦੌਰ ਦੇਖਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਲੰਬੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੱਕ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਕੜ ਨੂੰ ਚੁਣੌਤੀ ਦੇਣਾ ਸੌਖਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ। ਪਰ 2022 ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਤੇਜ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਬਦਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਹਾਰ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਵੋਟ ਬੈਂਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਰਾਰਾਂ ਦਿਖਾ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਜਿਸਨੂੰ ਕਦੇ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ। ਅਜਿਹੇ ਦੌਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਵੋਟਰ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਕਾਫੀ ਤੇਜ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਵਫ਼ਾਦਾਰੀਆਂ ਬਦਲ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, ਪੁਰਾਣੀਆਂ ਜਿੱਤਾਂ ਹੁਣ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਦੀ ਗਾਰੰਟੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹੀਆਂ। ਕੀ ਸ਼ਰਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਢਿੱਲੋਂ ਸਾਹਨੇਵਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਪੁਰਾਣੀ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਪਕੜ ਮੁੜ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਕਰ ਸਕਣਗੇ, ਜਾਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਹੁਣ ਪਰੰਪਰਾਗਤ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦੌਰ ਦੇ ਨੇਤਾਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਵੱਧ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਹੈ ?
