But in a state where law and order has remained a complex challenge for every government, the claim has also sparked questions about political assurance versus ground reality. Is the promise of “no gunshots in six months” a serious security roadmap for Punjab or another high-decibel election line that will be tested against reality once power comes ?

ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਰਵਨੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਿੱਟੂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜੇ 2027 ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਬਣਦੀ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਛੇ ਮਹੀਨਿਆਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਗੈਂਗਸਟਰ ਖਤਮ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉੱਤਰ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਦਾ ਮਾਡਲ ਵੀ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਜਿਸ ਸੂਬੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਨੂੰਨ-ਵਿਵਸਥਾ ਹਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡੀ ਅਤੇ ਪੇਚੀਦਾ ਚੁਣੌਤੀ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਉੱਥੇ ਇਹ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਹੁਣ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਭਰੋਸੇ ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਮੀਨੀ ਹਕੀਕਤ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਵੱਡੀ ਚਰਚਾ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਕੀ “ਛੇ ਮਹੀਨਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਵੀ ਗੋਲੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਚੱਲੇਗੀ” ਦਾ ਵਾਅਦਾ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਸੱਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਪਰਖੇ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਚੋਣੀ ਬਿਆਨ ?
