ਸਾਹਨੇਵਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ 2022 ਦੀ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਚੋਣ ਨੇ ਸਾਫ਼ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਸੁਣਾਇਆ। ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਦੇ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰ ਵਿਕਰਮ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਾਜਵਾ ਨੂੰ 46,322 ਵੋਟ (26%) ਮਿਲੇ, ਪਰ ਉਹ ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੇ ਹਰਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਮੁੰਡੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਰਹੇ, ਜਦਕਿ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਵੀ ਨੇੜੇ ਹੀ ਸੀ। ਪਾਰਟੀ ਸਹਾਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਪਛਾਣ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ ਬਾਜਵਾ ਚੋਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿੱਤ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕੇ। ਹੁਣ ਜਦੋਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ 2027 ਵੱਲ ਵੱਧ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਸਾਹਨੇਵਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਸਿੱਧਾ ਸਵਾਲ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਕੀ ਬਾਜਵਾ ਦੀ ਹਾਰ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ‘ਆਪ’ ਦੀ ਲਹਿਰ ਦਾ ਨਤੀਜਾ ਸੀ ਜਾਂ ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਪਕੜ ਅਤੇ ਚੋਣ ਤਾਕਤ ਦੀਆਂ ਹੱਦਾਂ ਵੀ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆ ਗਈਆਂ ? ਅਤੇ ਇੰਨੇ ਸਾਫ਼ ਵੋਟਾਂ ਦੇ ਫਰਕ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ, ਕੀ ਉਹ ਮੁੜ ਰਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਬਣਾ ਸਕਣਗੇ ਜਾਂ ਸਾਹਨੇਵਾਲ ਅੱਗੇ ਵੱਧ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਹੈ ?
