Shiromani Akali Dal has long struggled to gain real traction in Dasua. Traditionally, the seat has moved between Congress and BJP, and in 2022, AAP disrupted that pattern by winning the constituency. That election also underlined Akali Dal’s weakness here: instead of fielding its own candidate, SAD contested Dasua in alliance with the BSP, which fielded Susheel Kumar Sharma. Even that experiment failed to make a serious impact. As 2027 nears, will Akali Dal finally field a strong candidate of its own from Dasua or does the party still lack a face capable of breaking into a seat where it has never truly mattered ?

ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਨੂੰ ਦਸੂਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਪਕੜ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲੀ। ਰਵਾਇਤੀ ਤੌਰ ’ਤੇ ਇਹ ਸੀਟ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਘੁੰਮਦੀ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ 2022 ਵਿੱਚ ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਨੇ ਜਿੱਤ ਦਰਜ ਕਰਕੇ ਇਸ ਰੁਝਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਤੋੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਸ ਚੋਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਦੀ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰੀ ਵੀ ਖੁੱਲ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਈ। ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰ ਖੜਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਬਜਾਇ ਬਸਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਗਠਜੋੜ ਕਰਕੇ ਦਸੂਹੇ ਤੋਂ ਸੁਸ਼ੀਲ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਦਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਤਾਰਿਆ। ਪਰ ਇਹ ਤਜਰਬਾ ਵੀ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ’ਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਖਾਸ ਅਸਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਛੱਡ ਸਕਿਆ। ਹੁਣ 2027 ਨੇੜੇ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਸਵਾਲ ਸਾਫ਼ ਹੈ: ਕੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਇਸ ਵਾਰ ਦਸੂਆ ਤੋਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਕੋਈ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰ ਲਿਆਏਗਾ ਜਾਂ ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਦਲ ਕੋਲ ਐਸਾ ਚਿਹਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਸੀਟ ’ਤੇ ਪਕੜ ਬਣਾ ਸਕੇ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਹ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਤੱਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਣਿਆ ?
