Anil Joshi has jumped from BJP to SAD and then from SAD to Congress, earning a reputation as one of Punjab’s most frequent political travellers. Now, in the middle of Congress’s internal meltdown, he has entered the fight by announcing legal action against Dr Navjot Kaur Sidhu for calling him an 'opportunist' trying to return to SAD. The irony is hard to miss. Is Joshi being seen as a leader who has switched parties multiple times and is now trying to defend his honour or is he attempting to hide the fact that his political compass has changed direction more often than Punjab’s election winds ?

ਅਨਿਲ ਜੋਸ਼ੀ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਤੋਂ SAD ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ SAD ਤੋਂ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਏ, ਇਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਦਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਪਾਰਟੀਆਂ ਬਦਲਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨੇਤਾ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੁਣ, ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਦੀ ਘਰ-ਘਰ ਲੜਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ, ਉਹ ਡਾ. ਨਵਜੋਤ ਕੌਰ ਸਿੱਧੂ ’ਤੇ ਮਾਨਹਾਨੀ ਦਾ ਕੇਸ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਨਵਜੋਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ‘ਮੌਕਾਪਰਸਤ’ ਕਿਹਾ ਜੋ ਮੁੜ SAD ਵੱਲ ਮੁੜਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਕੀ ਜੋਸ਼ੀ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਐਸੇ ਨੇਤਾ ਵਜੋਂ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਈ ਵਾਰ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਬਦਲੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਆਪਣੀ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਜਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਉਹ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਨੂੰ ਓਹਲੇ ਪਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀਆਂ ਚੋਣੀ ਹਵਾਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਵੱਧ ਵਾਰ ਬਦਲ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਹੈ ?

Yet, during the 2021–22 “micro-donation” drive, people donating through the NaMo App and narendramodi.in were shown these schemes as options, and high-profile endorsements from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP President J.P. Nadda encouraged citizens to contribute. Did PM Modi and JP Nadda unknowingly endorse a donation drive that collected money under Government scheme names without official approval, or is this a political controversy waiting to explode ahead of the next national election ?
