After winning from Sirhind in 2007, he shifted to Fatehgarh Sahib after delimitation and then faced defeats there in 2012, 2017, and 2022 while contesting under different political banners. From rebel Akali leader to BJP district president, his career has combined long experience with repeated electoral setbacks. Now, with 2027 approaching, the real question inside BJP is whether Bhatti’s familiarity in Fatehgarh Sahib still makes him worth another chance, or whether three straight losses have ended his claim to the ticket.
