ਜਦੋਂ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਨੇ ਤਰੁਣ ਚੁੱਘ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਰਾਜ ਸਭਾ ਲਈ ਨਾਮਜ਼ਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਰਵਨੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਿੱਟੂ ਨੂੰ ਸੂਚੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਰੱਖਿਆ, ਤਾਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਚਰਚਾ ਤੇਜ਼ ਹੋ ਗਈ। ਇਹ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਆਇਆ ਜਦੋਂ ਬਿੱਟੂ ਖੁਦ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਾਪਸ ਆ ਕੇ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਚੋਣ ਲੜਨ ਦੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਜਤਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ। ਹੁਣ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਸਵਾਲ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕੀ ਤਰੁਣ ਚੁੱਘ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਸਦ ਭੇਜ ਕੇ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਨੇ ਬਿੱਟੂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਸੰਕੇਤ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਹੁਣ ਨਾਮਜ਼ਦਗੀਆਂ ਨਹੀਂ, ਸਗੋਂ ਚੋਣ ਮੈਦਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿੱਤ ਨਾਲ ਤੈਅ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ? ਅਤੇ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਦੀ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ, ਕੀ ਬਿੱਟੂ ਨੂੰ ਹੁਣ ਇਹ ਸਾਬਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਪਵੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਅਹੁਦਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ, ਸਗੋਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਵੋਟਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਬਣਦੀ ਹੈ ?
