But if young voters are increasingly looking for jobs, better campuses, honest leadership and real solutions, are traditional student politics and political organisations still speaking their language or are they simply giving old politics a younger face ?

Gen Z is already vocal about education, jobs, climate, digital rights, public transport and the future they want. But the bigger question is what happens after they speak. The argument is that governments need to move beyond token consultations and create formal ways for young people to shape decisions, through youth advisory councils, participatory budgeting, policy fellowships and local consultations. Should Gen Z move from being heard to actually helping shape policy ?
