Is the growing commercialization of Feroz Shah Kotla, with its entry fees and restricted access, eroding its cultural and spiritual significance?

Are we, in our pursuit of modernization and control, losing touch with the deeper cultural and spiritual connections that these places once offered to the people?
With Congress unveiling a poster of Rahul Gandhi holding a pickaxe and projecting him as a grassroots worker ahead of the Punjab rally, the symbolism is about rebuilding the party from the ground. But in a state where leaders are still divided into camps and multiple faces are eyeing 2027, the bigger question is whether the digging is for revival, or just deeper factional trenches. Is the Rahul Gandhi pickaxe poster about rebuilding Punjab Congress or is the party still busy digging its own internal pits ?
With the Punjab Government rolling out the Chief Minister’s Health Scheme offering ₹10 Lakhs annual cover to every family, MLAs and ministers continue to retain access to unlimited medical reimbursement under the old Assembly rules. While the scheme promises universal coverage for citizens, elected representatives now effectively have multiple options for their medical expenses. If the Government says one health cover is enough for every family in Punjab, why are MLAs and ministers still allowed unlimited medical reimbursement under a separate system ? Is this welfare security for public representatives or a case of one rule for leaders and another for the public ?
