Darshan Singh Brar’s journey in Bagha Purana reads like a rise, a repeat and a fall. A two-time Congress MLA in 2007 and 2017, he once defined the party’s presence in the seat. But in 2022, he slid to a distant third with just 18,042 votes (13.7%), overwhelmed by the AAP wave. By 2024, the Congress expelled him for alleged anti-party activities, formally closing a long chapter. The question now is not about discipline, but direction.
