As 2027 approaches, the real question is whether Mukhwinder Singh Mahal can rebuild BJP into a genuine contender in Raja Sansi, or whether the party may again remain only a marginal player there. Is Mahal preparing a quiet upset, or still fighting from too far behind ?

Rajesh Pathela was BJP’s candidate from Sri Muktsar Sahib in the 2022 Punjab Assembly election, representing the party in a constituency where BJP has long tried to expand beyond limited traditional space. While the seat remains challenging, candidates who stay active after defeat often keep themselves in future contention. As 2027 approaches, the real question is whether Rajesh Pathela has used the years after 2022 to build enough ground presence for a stronger second attempt, or whether BJP may look for a new face to reset its strategy in Sri Muktsar Sahib.
