In Punjab, Potatoes are cultivated on 1.14 lakh hectares, producing nearly 31 lakh tonnes. The yield is around 27,000 kilograms per hectare, making it a significant export market for areas across the Borders and Central Asia.
पंजाब में 1 लाख 14 हज़ार हेक्टेयर क्षेत्र में आलू की फ़सल उगाई जाती है जिसका उत्पादन 31 लाख टन के क़रीब है। प्रति हेक्टेयर उत्पादन लगभग 27 हज़ार किलो है, यह सीमा पार और मध्य एशिया के बाज़ार के लिए निर्यात का बहुत बड़ा अवसर है।
