पंजाब में 1 लाख 14 हज़ार हेक्टेयर क्षेत्र में आलू की फ़सल उगाई जाती है जिसका उत्पादन 31 लाख टन के क़रीब है। प्रति हेक्टेयर उत्पादन लगभग 27 हज़ार किलो है, यह सीमा पार और मध्य एशिया के बाज़ार के लिए निर्यात का बहुत बड़ा अवसर है।

But after years of coalition politics in the state, going solo also means taking full ownership of the party’s performance. Is BJP’s decision to go solo in Punjab a bold bid to become a major political force, or a risky gamble ?
पंजाब विधानसभा की सभी 117 सीटों पर 2027 का चुनाव अपने दम पर लड़ने की तैयारी कर रही भारतीय जनता पार्टी यह स्पष्ट संकेत दे रही है कि वह गठबंधन पर निर्भर रहने की बजाय पंजाब में अपनी स्वतंत्र राजनीतिक पहचान मजबूत करना चाहती है। लेकिन राज्य में वर्षों तक गठबंधन की राजनीति करने के बाद अकेले चुनाव लड़ने का मतलब यह भी है कि पार्टी को अपने प्रदर्शन की पूरी जिम्मेदारी खुद उठानी होगी। क्या पंजाब में अकेले चुनाव लड़ने का भाजपा का फैसला खुद को एक बड़ी राजनीतिक ताकत के रूप में स्थापित करने की साहसिक कोशिश है या फिर एक जोखिम भरा दांव ?
The Shiromani Akali Dal is facing a sharper leadership question at a time when the party is already dealing with political decline, internal challenges and questions over its future direction. With Sukhbir Singh Badal facing two attacks in less than two years, at the Golden Temple in December 2024 and at Nanded in August 2026, attention has again turned to the party’s leadership structure and its dependence on its current president. God forbid, if the Shiromani Akali Dal suddenly had to look beyond Sukhbir Badal’s leadership, does the party have a strong enough second line ready to take charge, hold the organisation together and carry its political legacy forward ?
