The question is: At a time when Punjab is witnessing intense political turbulence, are the Akali Dal's veterans reminding people why experience, ideological commitment and institutional memory still matter in public life ? And as the party looks towards revival, could its most seasoned leaders prove to be its strongest political asset ?

As BJP leaders continue to send mixed signals on a possible alliance with the Shiromani Akali Dal, some advocating a reunion while others insist the party should go solo, one person has remained notably restrained: Sukhbir Singh Badal. The question is: If even sections of the BJP seem more eager to discuss an alliance than the Akali Dal itself, what does that say about Sukhbir's strategy ?
