As more opposition leaders once accused of corruption suddenly become politically “clean” after joining the BJP, many people are now questioning whether the BJP’s anti-corruption politics under Narendra Modi is truly about fighting corruption, or whether it has increasingly started looking like a political “washing machine” where investigations, ED pressure, and corruption allegations quietly disappear the moment powerful leaders switch sides. From Himanta Biswa Sarma to Suvendu Adhikari and several other former rivals now holding top positions, critics argue that corruption today seems less about morality and more about political alignment. So the bigger question is: In today’s politics, is corruption actually a crime, or simply a negotiation before political entry into the ruling system ?
जब कई विपक्षी नेता, जिन पर कभी भ्रष्टाचार के गंभीर आरोप लगाए जाते थे, भाजपा में शामिल होने के बाद अचानक राजनीतिक रूप से “साफ” नजर आने लगते हैं, फिर लोग यह सवाल पूछ रहे हैं कि क्या नरेंद्र मोदी के नेतृत्व में भाजपा की भ्रष्टाचार-विरोधी राजनीति वास्तव में भ्रष्टाचार के खिलाफ लड़ाई है, या फिर यह धीरे-धीरे एक ऐसी राजनीतिक “वॉशिंग मशीन” बनती जा रही है जहां ED जांच, छापे और भ्रष्टाचार के आरोप सत्ता पक्ष में शामिल होते ही शांत पड़ जाते हैं। हिमंत बिस्वा सरमा से लेकर सुवेंदु अधिकारी तक, कई ऐसे नेता जो कभी भाजपा के निशाने पर थे, आज पार्टी में बड़े पदों पर बैठे हैं। आलोचकों का कहना है कि आज भ्रष्टाचार नैतिकता से ज्यादा राजनीतिक निष्ठा का मुद्दा बनता जा रहा है। तो बड़ा सवाल यह है: क्या आज की राजनीति में भ्रष्टाचार सचमुच अपराध है, या फिर सत्ता में एंट्री से पहले होने वाला एक राजनीतिक समझौता ?
As India marks one year since the deadly Pahalgam terror attack, uncomfortable questions still refuse to disappear: after repeated intelligence failures from Pulwama to Pahalgam and later the Red Fort blast, has the country genuinely strengthened its security systems, or has national security increasingly become more about political speeches, TV debates, and emotional optics than hard accountability ? With governments promising “zero tolerance” after every major attack, why do the same failures, infiltration gaps, and intelligence lapses keep repeating while public anger is redirected into communal blame and political shouting matches instead of serious answers ?
