Once the undisputed ruler of Punjab, the Congress suffered a historic defeat in 2022, winning only 18 seats after previously controlling 77. Post-defeat, the party has seen constant leadership reshuffles, Charanjit Channi’s visibility push, and internal bickering between MLAs and senior leaders.
