As Punjab Congress prepares for a major organisational overhaul and intense lobbying gathers pace ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections, a sharper question is beginning to surface: Is the party preparing for a comeback, or for another round of internal competition ? With multiple senior leaders seeking a bigger role, observers camping in Delhi, and repeated discussions on leadership and factionalism, Congress appears to be spending as much time deciding who should lead the battle as how to win it. As rivals hit the ground and build momentum, is Punjab Congress shaping a winning team, or still negotiating its pecking order ?
