If the Congress high command appoints Charanjit Singh Channi as Punjab Congress President, an even bigger political question immediately follows: Who then becomes the party's Chief Ministerial face for 2027 ? Will Congress project Channi in both roles, or will it separate organisational leadership from electoral leadership by backing another contender such as Partap Singh Bajwa, Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, or another surprise face ? As the reshuffle debate gathers pace, is Congress solving one leadership question, or creating an even bigger one ?

As speculation grows over a possible leadership change in the Punjab Congress, an uncomfortable question is beginning to surface around Amarinder Singh Raja Warring. Despite his aggressive attacks on the AAP government and high visibility in the media, Congress has yet to translate that energy into a major political breakthrough in Punjab. The question is: If Congress decides to remove Raja Warring, would it be abandoning one of its most vocal fighters, or admitting that visibility and victory are not the same thing ? After years of protests, press conferences and political battles, has Warring strengthened Congress's electoral position, or simply become the party's most prominent opposition voice without delivering the revival many expected ?
