Considering how Punjab’s debt is spiraling out of control, are all major political parties in the state making any plans to tackle this crisis and acting responsibly?
With the BJP preparing for 2027 and debating whether to go solo in Punjab, one question still hangs in the air- why has the party still not named a Chief Ministerial face ? Sunil Jakhar remains State President without full clarity, Ravneet Singh Bittu is being projected nationally despite losing his seat, and Captain Amarinder Singh’s entry once promised much but now feels politically muted. Even as Haryana is used as a launch pad and Modi–Shah set the tone, Punjab BJP looks unsure about who should actually lead from the front. Is the delay a careful strategy to avoid internal friction or a sign that the BJP still lacks a leader who can command broad acceptance in Punjab ?
2027 की तैयारी करते हुए और पंजाब में अकेले चुनाव लड़ने या गठबंधन पर सोचते हुए, भाजपा के सामने एक सवाल अब भी बना हुआ है, पार्टी ने अब तक मुख्यमंत्री का चेहरा क्यों घोषित नहीं किया ? सुनील जाखड़ बिना पूरी स्पष्टता के प्रदेश अध्यक्ष बने हुए हैं, रवनीत सिंह बिट्टू सीट हारने के बावजूद राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर पेश किए जा रहे हैं, और कैप्टन अमरिंदर सिंह की एंट्री से जो उम्मीदें थीं, वे अब फीकी लगती हैं। हरियाणा को लॉन्च पैड बनाकर मोदी–शाह माहौल तो बना रहे हैं, लेकिन पंजाब भाजपा अब भी तय नहीं कर पा रही कि मैदान में नेतृत्व कौन करेगा। क्या यह देरी गुटबाजी से बचने की सोची-समझी रणनीति है या फिर इस बात का संकेत कि पार्टी के पास अभी ऐसा नेता नहीं है जिसे पूरे पंजाब में स्वीकार किया जाए ?
When a sitting MLA like Dr Sukhwinder Kumar Sukhi can openly switch from SAD to AAP, get government posts, speak in the House, and still wait endlessly for an anti-defection decision, what message does that send about the seriousness of the law ? And when Bhagwant Mann mocks the Opposition by comparing Sukhi to Congress voices like Shashi Tharoor and Digvijaya Singh, does it expose hypocrisy across parties or the slow death of accountability in legislatures ?
