After the BJP accused the Bhagwant Mann–led AAP Government of coercing MGNREGA workers, blocking social audits, ignoring recovery orders, and failing to provide even the promised 100 days of work, the debate has gone far beyond one law. If rural workers are getting neither jobs nor allowances, audits are skipped, and corruption cases stay untouched, is AAP opposing the Centre’s VB–G RAM G Act to protect workers or to hide its own failures in Punjab ? And when both BJP and Congress trade accusations using the same MGNREGA record, who is actually accountable to the worker standing at the job card counter ?
जब भाजपा ने भगवंत मान के नेतृत्व वाली आम आदमी पार्टी सरकार पर मनरेगा मज़दूरों को मजबूर करने, सामाजिक ऑडिट रोकने, वसूली आदेशों को नज़रअंदाज़ करने और वादा किए गए 100 दिन का काम तक न देने के आरोप लगाए, तो मामला सिर्फ़ एक क़ानून तक सीमित नहीं रहा। अगर ग्रामीण मज़दूरों को न काम मिल रहा है, न बेरोज़गारी भत्ता, ऑडिट नहीं हो रहे और भ्रष्टाचार के मामले दबे पड़े हैं, तो क्या आम आदमी पार्टी केंद्र के VB–G RAM G Act का विरोध मज़दूरों के हित में कर रही है या फिर पंजाब में अपनी नाकामियों को छिपाने के लिए ? और जब भाजपा और कांग्रेस दोनों ही मनरेगा के पुराने रिकॉर्ड को लेकर एक-दूसरे पर आरोप लगा रही हैं, तो जॉब कार्ड लेकर खड़े मज़दूर के प्रति असली जवाबदेही किसकी है ?
