ਪੰਜਾਬ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਦੇ ਨਵੇਂ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਬਣਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਕੇਵਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਢਿੱਲੋਂ ਨੇ ਡਾ. ਬੀ.ਆਰ. ਅੰਬੇਡਕਰ ਦੀ ਵਿਰਾਸਤ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੀ ਪੰਚ ਤੀਰਥ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਰਵਾਨਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਪਾਰੀ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਕਦਮ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਵਰਗਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੀ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਵੱਧਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਵਜੋਂ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਇਕ ਦਿਲਚਸਪ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਸਵਾਲ ਵੀ ਖੜ੍ਹਦਾ ਹੈ: ਕੀ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਕ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਜਨ ਅੰਦੋਲਨ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗੇ ਲੈ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਚਿਹਰਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਭਾਲ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ? ਆਖ਼ਿਰ ਯਾਤਰਾਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਚਰਚਾ ਤਾਂ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਜਿੱਤਣ ਲਈ ਬੱਸਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਫੋਟੋ ਮੌਕਿਆਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜਦੋਂ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਵਿਸਥਾਰ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਕੀ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਜੜ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਆਪਣਾ ਰੂਟ ਮੈਪ ਲੰਮਾ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ?
