But as the BJP continues to search for both organisational depth and wider acceptability ahead of 2027, the bigger question is whether the move has really brought Sodhi closer to the centre of power or left him as just another senior face waiting for the party’s rise to match his ambitions. In a party where growth is still a work in progress, does being a turncoat with experience help fast-track leadership space or does real elevation depend first on the BJP building the ground to lift its leaders up ?
