In Nihal Singh Wala, the BJP has never made a real mark. In past elections, the party didn’t even field its own candidate, choosing to stay out while others fought the battle. Now, with BJP claiming it will contest all 117 seats in Punjab in 2027, the obvious question arises. Who will BJP field from Nihal Singh Wala ? Does the party even have a local face with ground presence here or will this seat expose the gap between BJP’s big announcements and its weak rural organisation ?
