Even as senior leaders publicly display unity, the final formula for balancing competing ambitions remains closely guarded. The question is: Is KC Venugopal merely finalising the new leadership team, or trying to prevent a fresh power struggle before 2027 ? If Congress has already made up its mind, why has the announcement taken so long ? And when the new team is finally unveiled, will it end factional politics, or simply move it behind closed doors ?
