ਸਾਬਕਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਚਰਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਚੰਨੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕਥਿਤ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਸਤਾਵ ਠੁਕਰਾਉਣ ਨਾਲ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਲੀਡਰਸ਼ਿਪ ਸਮੀਕਰਨਾਂ ਮੁੜ ਚਰਚਾ ਦਾ ਵਿਸ਼ਾ ਬਣ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਇਕ ਵੱਡਾ ਸਵਾਲ ਵੀ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੇ ਚੋਣ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਦੀ ਕਮਾਨ ਸੰਭਾਲਣਾ ਵੀ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਨਹੀਂ, ਤਾਂ ਕੀ ਚੰਨੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਰ ਵੱਡੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਦੀ ਉਮੀਦ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, ਜਾਂ ਇਹ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਕਾਤਮਕ ਅਹੁਦੇ ਹੁਣ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਤੁਸ਼ਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ ? ਜਦੋਂ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ 2027 ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਇੱਛਾਵਾਂ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਸੰਤੁਲਨ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਕੀ ਚੰਨੀ ਦਾ ਇਹ ਫ਼ੈਸਲਾ ਨਿੱਜੀ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਗਣਿਤ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਅੰਦਰ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਵੰਡ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਡੂੰਘੀ ਨਾਰਾਜ਼ਗੀ ਦਾ ਸੰਕੇਤ ? ਅਤੇ ਜੇ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੀ ਚੋਟੀ ਦੇ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੂਮਿਕਾਵਾਂ ਤੈਅ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੁੱਝੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਵੋਟਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਦਿਵਾਏਗੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਚਲਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੈ ?
