ਚਰਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਚੰਨੀ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਦਲਦੇ ਰਾਜਨੀਤਿਕ ਮਾਹੌਲ ਵਿਚ ਵਾਪਸੀ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਚੰਨੀ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਨਿੱਜੀ ਮੁਹਿੰਮਾਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਵੋਟਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਸੀਟ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡੀ ਪਰਖ ਬਣ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਚਰਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਚੰਨੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਸੀਟ ਜਿੱਤ ਸਕਣਗੇ ਜਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ, ਇਹ ਪੱਕਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੁਰਾਣੇ ਅਹੁਦੇ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਮੌਜੂਦਾ ਜ਼ਮੀਨੀ ਹਾਲਾਤਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਨਿਰਭਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਨਿੱਜੀ ਸੰਪਰਕ, ਦਲਿਤ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਅਤੇ ਪਛਾਣ ਦਾ ਫਾਇਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਬਹੁ-ਕੋਣੀ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ, ਭਾਰਤੀ ਜਨਤਾ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਦੀ ਮੌਜੂਦਗੀ ਵੋਟਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੰਡ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ। ਕੀ ਚੰਨੀ ਦੀ ਨਿੱਜੀ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਇਸ ਵੰਡੇ ਹੋਏ ਮੈਦਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਰ ਕਰ ਲਵੇਗੀ ਜਾਂ ਇਹ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਟੱਕਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੌਕੇ ਘਟਾ ਦੇਵੇਗੀ ?
