ਜਿਵੇਂ- ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ 2027 ਦੀਆਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰੀ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਤਿਵੇਂ-ਤਿਵੇਂ ਚਰਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਚੰਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਅੰਦਰ ਚਰਚਾ ਵੀ ਤੇਜ਼ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਸਮਰਥਕ ਚੰਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਮੀਨੀ ਪਕੜ, ਦਲਿਤ ਨੁਮਾਇੰਦਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਮ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਾਵਨਾਤਮਕ ਜੁੜਾਅ ਵਾਲਾ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਦਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਲੋਕਪ੍ਰਿਯ ਚਿਹਰਾ ਮੰਨਦੇ ਹਨ। ਦੂਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਲੋਚਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੰਨਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸਿਰਫ ਲੋਕਪ੍ਰਿਯਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਕਾਤਮਕ ਛਵੀ ਦੇ ਆਧਾਰ ‘ਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਏਨੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਚੋਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੇਵਿਵਾਦ ਚਿਹਰਾ ਬਣਾਉਣਾ ਸੌਖਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਅਜਿਹੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਦੋਂ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਅਜੇ ਵੀ “ਸਾਂਝੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ” ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਅਤੇ ਪਛਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਚਿਹਰਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਘੁੰਮਦੀ ਦਿੱਖ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਕੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਹੁਣ 2027 ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ “ਚੰਨੀ ਫੈਕਟਰ” ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਅਪਣਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਫਾਇਦਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਖਤਰਿਆਂ, ਦੋਵਾਂ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਫਸਦੀ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਆ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ?
