Sushil Kumar Rinku’s political journey has looked less like ideology and more like a nonstop Punjab party hopping express, from Congress to AAP and then finally BJP, all within a few years of dramatic highs and brutal defeats. One moment he was AAP’s surprise Jalandhar bypoll hero defeating Congress, and the next he was standing with BJP only to suffer a massive loss against Charanjit Singh Channi. Supporters call him politically adaptable, but critics joke that Rinku changes parties so fast that voters barely get time to update their political memory. The real debate now is whether Sushil Kumar Rinku is still a serious political player with survival instincts, or if constant party switching has slowly made his politics look more opportunistic than trustworthy ?
सुशील कुमार रिंकू की राजनीतिक यात्रा कई बार विचारधारा से ज्यादा पंजाब की “पार्टी बदलो एक्सप्रेस” जैसी लगती है, कांग्रेस से ‘आप’ और फिर भाजपा तक, कुछ ही सालों में बड़े उतार चढ़ाव और भारी हारों के साथ। एक समय वह ‘आप’ के सरप्राइज जालंधर उपचुनाव हीरो बने जिन्होंने कांग्रेस को हराया, और अगले ही पल भाजपा में जाकर चरणजीत सिंह चन्नी से बड़ी हार झेल बैठे। समर्थक उन्हें राजनीतिक रूप से एडजस्ट करने वाला नेता बताते हैं, लेकिन आलोचक मज़ाक में कहते हैं कि रिंकू इतनी तेजी से पार्टियां बदलते हैं कि मतदाताओं को अपनी राजनीतिक याददाश्त अपडेट करने का समय ही नहीं मिलता। अब असली बहस यह है कि क्या सुशील कुमार रिंकू अभी भी मजबूत राजनीतिक सर्वाइवल क्षमता वाले नेता हैं, या लगातार पार्टी बदलने से उनकी राजनीति भरोसेमंद से ज्यादा अवसरवादी दिखने लगी है ?
Kunwar Vijay Partap Singh once entered AAP carrying the image of a fearless ex police officer who openly challenged powerful political names and projected himself as a clean, uncompromising voice against Punjab’s old system. But after repeated tensions inside AAP, public disagreements, and visible political distance from the party leadership, speculation around his possible BJP entry keeps growing louder. Supporters still see him as an honest and emotionally driven leader, while critics feel his political journey increasingly looks like a man struggling to find the right political home after leaving the uniform behind. The bigger question now is whether Kunwar Vijay Partap Singh will finally join BJP, or if Punjab is watching another leader slowly move from “system challenger” to “system adjustment” politics ?
