Bhagwant Mann has said AAP’s door-to-door campaign will focus on the Government’s work and its achievements. But after nearly five years in power, Punjab voters are also asking questions about issues that remain unresolved. A campaign built around achievements can highlight what the Government has delivered but it cannot avoid questions about what is still pending. So, as AAP asks Punjab for another term, can Bhagwant Mann keep the 2027 campaign focused on achievements or will voters push the campaign beyond the report card and demand answers on what his government has still not been able to fix ?
भगवंत मान ने कहा है कि आम आदमी पार्टी का घर-घर अभियान सरकार के काम और उसकी उपलब्धियों पर केंद्रित रहेगा। लेकिन करीब पांच साल सत्ता में रहने के बाद पंजाब के मतदाता उन मुद्दों पर भी सवाल पूछ रहे हैं जो अब तक अनसुलझे हैं। उपलब्धियों पर आधारित अभियान सरकार के किए गए काम को सामने रख सकता है लेकिन जो काम अभी बाकी हैं, उन पर उठ रहे सवालों से बच नहीं सकता। तो, जब आम आदमी पार्टी पंजाब से एक और कार्यकाल मांग रही है, क्या भगवंत मान 2027 का अभियान सिर्फ उपलब्धियों पर केंद्रित रख पाएंगे या मतदाता चुनावी रिपोर्ट कार्ड से आगे बढ़कर उन मुद्दों पर जवाब मांगेंगे जिन्हें उनकी सरकार अब तक ठीक नहीं कर पाई है ?
In 2022, the Aam Aadmi Party entered Punjab with a “first-timers” and fresh-politics pitch. Many of its leaders were new to the Government and presented themselves as an alternative to the old political order. But in 2027, that card cannot be played in the same way. After five years in power, voters can judge the party’s ministers, MLAs and senior leaders on their actual record. How many strong Punjab leaders can the Aam Aadmi Party actually project in 2027, who have enough political record and ground connect to carry the party’s campaign ?
