Navjot Kaur Sidhu has now declared that Navjot Singh Sidhu will return to active politics only if he is given real power, enough to fix Punjab, even hinting at a CM-level role. At the same time, she admits that Congress already has five leaders dreaming of becoming CM, all of whom would “never allow Sidhu to rise.” But here, the irony is: Sidhu has stayed out of politics for years, skipped party events, skipped campaigning, and preferred IPL commentary over Punjab’s burning issues. And now, after being missing from the battlefield, the Sidhus claim they can “fix Punjab” ? So the real question is: After so many years away from real politics, can Navjot Singh Sidhu seriously claim he deserves the CM chair in 2027 or is this just wishful thinking from a couple far removed from Punjab’s ground reality ?
नवजोत कौर सिद्धू ने साफ-साफ कह दिया है कि नवजोत सिंह सिद्धू तभी राजनीति में वापसी करेंगे जब उन्हें इतनी सत्ता की ताकत मिले कि वे “पंजाब को ठीक कर सकें”, यानी लगभग मुख्यमंत्री जैसी भूमिका। साथ ही उन्होंने यह भी माना कि कांग्रेस में पहले ही पाँच नेता मुख्यमंत्री बनने का सपना देख रहे हैं, और वे “नवजोत सिंह सिद्धू को कभी आगे नहीं आने देंगे।” लेकिन असली विडंबना तो यह है, नवजोत सिंह सिद्धू कई सालों से राजनीति से दूर हैं, पार्टी कार्यक्रमों में नहीं जाते, चुनाव प्रचार नहीं करते, और पंजाब की समस्याओं से ज़्यादा IPL कमेंट्री में दिखते हैं। अब इतने साल मैदान से गायब रहने के बाद, सिद्धू दंपत्ति दावा कर रहे हैं कि वही पंजाब को बचा सकते हैं ? तो बड़ा सवाल यह है: क्या इतने लंबे राजनीतिक अंतराल के बाद, नवजोत सिंह सिद्धू सच में 2027 में मुख्यमंत्री पद का दावा कर सकते हैं या यह सिर्फ मैदान से दूर बैठे दंपत्ति की कल्पना भर है ?
