Punjab BJP president Kewal Singh Dhillon has chosen Abohar, the home turf of former state chief Sunil Kumar Jakhar, to launch the party's Jan Sabha campaign while once again highlighting the Centre's financial support to Punjab. But the move raises a pointed question after 12 years of Narendra Modi in power and years of BJP expansion efforts in Punjab, why is the party still launching outreach drives instead of showcasing a clear political breakthrough ? If Punjab has received unprecedented support and BJP leaders believe the state's future lies with them, why does the party remain on the margins of Punjab's electoral politics ? And as Jan Sabhas begin across the state, are voters being presented with a new political alternative, or another attempt to sell a promise that has yet to translate into widespread public support ?
पंजाब भाजपा अध्यक्ष केवल सिंह ढिल्लों ने पूर्व प्रदेश अध्यक्ष सुनील कुमार जाखड़ के गृह क्षेत्र अबोहर से पार्टी की जनसभा मुहिम की शुरुआत करने का फैसला किया है और एक बार फिर पंजाब को केंद्र से मिले वित्तीय सहयोग को प्रमुखता से उठाया है। लेकिन इससे एक सीधा सवाल भी खड़ा होता है नरेंद्र मोदी सरकार के 12 साल और पंजाब में भाजपा के विस्तार के वर्षों बाद भी पार्टी अभी तक राजनीतिक सफलता दिखाने की बजाय लगातार जनसंपर्क अभियानों पर क्यों निर्भर है ? यदि पंजाब को अभूतपूर्व सहायता मिली है और भाजपा नेताओं को विश्वास है कि राज्य का भविष्य उनके साथ है, तो फिर पार्टी आज भी पंजाब की चुनावी राजनीति के हाशिये पर क्यों दिखाई देती है ? और जब पूरे राज्य में जनसभाओं का दौर शुरू हो रहा है, तो क्या मतदाताओं के सामने एक नया राजनीतिक विकल्प रखा जा रहा है या फिर एक ऐसे वादे को दोबारा पेश किया जा रहा है जो अभी तक व्यापक जनसमर्थन में नहीं बदल पाया ?
Punjab BJP President Kewal Singh Dhillon says Punjab received over ₹4.13 Lakh Crores from the Centre during the 12 years of the Modi Government and has presented it as proof that Punjab was not neglected. But the claim raises a tougher question before celebrating the figure, shouldn't voters also ask how it compares with what other states received during the same period ? If several states received even higher allocations, is the BJP highlighting a headline number without providing the full context ? And if Punjab has truly benefited so much, why do complaints about debt, unemployment, migration and financial stress remain at the centre of Punjab's political debate ?
