With the 2027 Punjab elections approaching, BJP leaders from across the country appear increasingly active in Punjab. But with many leaders having little direct experience of Punjab’s politics, the growing national presence raises a question about the party’s local strategy. Is BJP bringing its leaders from across India into Punjab because it has a strong national campaign or because it still lacks enough Punjab-based political faces who can lead the fight on their own ?

2027 ਦੀਆਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਨੇੜੇ ਆਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਦੇਸ਼ ਭਰ ਦੇ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਆਗੂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਧੇਰੇ ਸਰਗਰਮ ਦਿਖਾਈ ਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕਈ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਦਾ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਸਿਆਸਤ ਨਾਲ ਸਿੱਧਾ ਤਜਰਬਾ ਸੀਮਤ ਹੈ। ਅਜਿਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੀ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਰਣਨੀਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਸਵਾਲ ਉਠਦਾ ਹੈ। ਕੀ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਦੇਸ਼ ਭਰ ਤੋਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਲਿਆ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਸ ਕੋਲ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕਿ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਕੋਲ ਅਜੇ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ-ਆਧਾਰਿਤ ਚਿਹਰੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਮ 'ਤੇ ਚੋਣ ਲੜਾਈ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਕਰ ਸਕਣ ?
