With BJP ruling out an alliance with the Shiromani Akali Dal for the 2027 Punjab polls, the party is presenting its campaign as a direct appeal to Punjab’s voters. It also plans to highlight the work of Prime Minister Narendra Modi while making drugs, jobs and law and order key campaign issues. But Punjab has its own political identities, local leaders and constituency-level equations. If BJP goes into 2027 without SAD, can a national campaign built around Modi’s record and BJP’s own organisation carry the party across Punjab or will local political networks matter more ?

ਭਾਜਪਾ ਨੇ 2027 ਦੀਆਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਨਾਲ ਗਠਜੋੜ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਚੋਣ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਸਿੱਧੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਵੋਟਰਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਲਿਜਾਣ ਦੀ ਤਿਆਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਪਾਰਟੀ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨਰਿੰਦਰ ਮੋਦੀ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਰੱਖਣ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਨਸ਼ਾ, ਰੁਜ਼ਗਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਨੂੰਨ-ਵਿਵਸਥਾ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੁੱਦੇ ਬਣਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਪਛਾਣ, ਸਥਾਨਕ ਆਗੂ ਅਤੇ ਹਲਕਾ ਪੱਧਰ ਦੇ ਸਮੀਕਰਨ ਹਨ। ਜੇ ਭਾਜਪਾ 2027 ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਚੋਣ ਮੈਦਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਤਰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਕੀ ਮੋਦੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਦੇ ਸੰਗਠਨ ’ਤੇ ਆਧਾਰਿਤ ਕੌਮੀ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਪੂਰੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਸਰ ਪਾ ਸਕੇਗੀ ਜਾਂ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਨੈੱਟਵਰਕ ਵੱਧੇਰੇ ਅਹਿਮ ਹੋਣਗੇ ?
