The Enforcement Directorate has carried out searches in Punjab linked to an ongoing money-laundering investigation involving alleged financial and land- related irregularities. The investigation itself does not establish guilt. The Aam Aadmi Party has alleged that the timing and use of central agencies are politically motivated. With the 2027 Punjab election approaching, the bigger question is: Will ED action become a major election issue in Punjab, or will the BJP have to convince voters that these are independent investigations rather than election-time politics ?

B) Aam Aadmi Party should provide evidence for its claims of political targeting.

C) Let the investigations proceed, while keeping politics separate from due process.

D) Make transparency, evidence and accountability the focus instead of political accusations.
