But unlike AAP, which has Bhagwant Mann as its chief face, and Congress and SAD, which have familiar Punjab leaders, the BJP’s state-level leadership remains less clearly identified with a single mass leader. Can the BJP convince Punjab that it is ready to govern when voters are still unsure who would actually lead the Government ?

2027 ਦੀਆਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਆਧਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਅਜਿਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਿਕਰਮ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਜੀਠੀਆ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਹਲਕੇ ਦੀ ਚੋਣ ਕਰਨਾ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਨਿੱਜੀ ਚੋਣ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਨਹੀਂ, ਸਗੋਂ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਸੰਕੇਤ ਦੇ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਵਾਪਸੀ ਦੀ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਦੇਖ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਕੀ ਮਜੀਠੀਆ ਆਪਣੇ ਰਵਾਇਤੀ ਗੜ੍ਹ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾ ਕੇ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਖੇਡ ਖੇਡਣ, ਆਪਣਾ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਵੱਧਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਵੱਡਾ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ ਚੁਣਨ ਜਾਂ ਉਸ ਹਲਕੇ ਤੋਂ ਮੈਦਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਤਰਨ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਨੂੰ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਚਿਹਰੇ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਹੈ?
