The BJP contested all 13 Lok Sabha seats in Punjab in 2024 after ending its long alliance with the Akali Dal, hoping to prove it could build an independent political base. But the party won zero seats, despite securing a sizeable vote share. Now, with the BJP preparing to contest all 117 Assembly seats in 2027, the stakes are much higher. Should the BJP treat its 13 seat Lok Sabha setback as a warning to rethink its strategy or as a lesson to push even harder for 2027 ?

ਭਾਜਪਾ ਨੇ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣਾ ਪੁਰਾਣਾ ਗਠਜੋੜ ਖਤਮ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ 2024 ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ 13 ਲੋਕ ਸਭਾ ਸੀਟਾਂ ’ਤੇ ਚੋਣ ਲੜੀ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਇਹ ਸਾਬਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਆਪਣਾ ਵੱਖਰਾ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਆਧਾਰ ਬਣਾ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਚੰਗੀ ਵੋਟ ਹਿੱਸੇਦਾਰੀ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਇਕ ਵੀ ਸੀਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਿੱਤ ਸਕੀ। ਹੁਣ 2027 ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ 117 ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਸੀਟਾਂ ’ਤੇ ਚੋਣ ਲੜਨ ਦੀ ਤਿਆਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਚੁਣੌਤੀ ਕਿਤੇ ਵੱਡੀ ਹੈ। ਕੀ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਨੂੰ 13 ਸੀਟਾਂ ’ਤੇ ਮਿਲੀ ਲੋਕ ਸਭਾ ਦੀ ਹਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਰਣਨੀਤੀ ਬਦਲਣ ਦੀ ਚੇਤਾਵਨੀ ਮੰਨਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ 2027 ਲਈ ਹੋਰ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਸਬਕ ਸਮਝਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ?
