Punjab Aam Aadmi Party came to power in 2022 with one of the strongest mandates in Punjab's history, promising a new model of governance and politics. With a comfortable majority came equally high public expectations on employment, education, healthcare, law and order, and overall governance. While supporters point to several initiatives taken by the Government, critics argue that many headline promises have yet to match the pace of public expectations. As Punjab moves towards the 2027 Assembly elections, how would you rate the Punjab Aam Aadmi Party's overall political performance ?

The BJP’s 2024 Lok Sabha performance gave it a strong 19% vote base and leads in 24 Assembly segments, but much of that support was urban and semi-urban. Now, with a new Punjab team and a bigger 2027 push, the party faces a tougher test: Can it turn a strong Lok Sabha performance into a statewide Assembly force or will rural voters, farmer concerns and Punjab’s regional politics expose the gap between vote share and real ground strength ? How would you rate the BJP’s chances of becoming a serious power contender in Punjab ?
