Punjab Aam Aadmi Party often presents itself as the party of young politics. With 11 MLAs under the age of 35 in the Punjab Assembly, including Narinder Kaur Bharaj, who became the Assembly's youngest MLA after winning at the age of 27, the party has given more young faces legislative representation than its rivals. Yet critics argue that electing young leaders is only half the battle, and the real question is whether they are shaping policy or simply applauding decisions taken elsewhere. As Punjab moves towards the 2027 Assembly elections, how would you rate the Punjab Aam Aadmi Party's commitment to youth representation ?
With AAP facing questions over jobs, drugs, law and order, debt and unfulfilled promises, and Congress and the Akali Dal fighting to regain political space, Punjab’s political ground is becoming increasingly crowded. The BJP is trying to present itself as a fresh alternative while expanding beyond its traditional urban base. But can the party turn public frustration with the existing political options into a real BJP wave before 2027 or will voters simply shift between the established players ?
After its success in West Bengal, the BJP is now looking to bring a much bigger political fight to Punjab. The party plans to target the AAP Government over corruption, governance and unfulfilled promises, while presenting its own model on jobs, health, education and the economy. But Punjab has its own political equations, strong regional sentiments and a very different voter mindset. Will the BJP’s Bengal-style strategy shake up Punjab politics in 2027 or will Punjab refuse to follow the Bengal script ? What could make the biggest difference ?
