As the Punjab Congress battles another open revolt over its leadership, the BJP has declared that its doors are open for any disgruntled Congress leader willing to switch sides. Over the years, Punjab Congress has repeatedly watched several prominent leaders walk away after internal disagreements, only to strengthen rival parties. This raises an uncomfortable question: Has the Congress become a factory for producing political turncoats by repeatedly disappointing its own leaders ? If the party keeps creating rebels faster than it creates a roadmap for revival, who is really benefiting from its internal politics ?

ਪੰਜਾਬ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਇਕ ਵਾਰ ਫਿਰ ਖੁੱਲ੍ਹੀ ਧੜੇਬੰਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਲੀਡਰਸ਼ਿਪ ਸੰਕਟ ਨਾਲ ਜੂਝ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਨੇ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਸਦੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਹਰ ਨਾਰਾਜ਼ ਕਾਂਗਰਸੀ ਆਗੂ ਲਈ ਖੁੱਲ੍ਹੇ ਹਨ। ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੀ ਕਈ ਵੱਡੇ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੰਦਰੂਨੀ ਨਾਰਾਜ਼ਗੀ ਕਾਰਨ ਗੁਆਉਂਦੀ ਆ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕਈ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਪਾਰਟੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਤਾਕਤ ਬਣੇ। ਅਜਿਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਕ ਅਸਹਜ ਸਵਾਲ ਉਠਦਾ ਹੈ: ਕੀ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੀ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਰ-ਵਾਰ ਨਿਰਾਸ਼ ਕਰਕੇ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਦਲ-ਬਦਲੂਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੀ ਫੈਕਟਰੀ ਬਣਦੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ? ਜੇ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਮੁੜ ਉਭਾਰ ਦੀ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਬਾਗੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਰੁੱਝੀ ਰਹੇਗੀ, ਤਾਂ ਇਸ ਦਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਫਾਇਦਾ ਆਖ਼ਿਰ ਕਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲੇਗਾ ?
