The AAP came to power in Punjab promising better schools, hospitals, jobs and corruption-free governance, not religious symbolism. Yet, as the 2027 elections approach, the party has announced a ₹150-Crores Luv-Kush Temple in Amritsar while increasingly projecting Hindu outreach alongside its governance agenda. This raises a bigger question: Is the AAP broadening its appeal by embracing every community, or quietly adopting the very brand of identity politics it once claimed to oppose ? Has governance taken a back seat to electoral calculations, or is this simply smart politics in a changing Punjab ?

A) Respecting every faith while preserving religious heritage is inclusive governance, not identity politics.

B) A party elected on governance should focus more on schools, hospitals and jobs than religious symbolism.

C) Expanding beyond traditional vote banks is a legitimate political strategy if development remains the priority.

D) Punjab's voters will decide whether this is genuine social inclusion or election-driven political positioning.

ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੰਗੇ ਸਕੂਲਾਂ, ਹਸਪਤਾਲਾਂ, ਰੁਜ਼ਗਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਚਾਰ-ਮੁਕਤ ਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਦੇ ਵਾਅਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸੱਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਈ ਸੀ, ਨਾ ਕਿ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਦੇ ਆਧਾਰ 'ਤੇ। ਪਰ 2027 ਦੀਆਂ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਨੇ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਵਿੱਚ ₹150 ਕਰੋੜ ਦੇ ਲਵ-ਕੁਸ਼ ਮੰਦਰ ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਹਿੰਦੂ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣਾ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਵੀ ਵੱਧਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਅਜਿਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਡਾ ਸਵਾਲ ਇਹ ਹੈ: ਕੀ 'ਆਪ' ਸਾਰੇ ਭਾਈਚਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਲ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਚੱਲਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਜਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਓਹੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਦੀ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਅਪਣਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਕਦੇ ਖੁਦ ਆਲੋਚਨਾ ਕਰਦੀ ਸੀ ? ਕੀ ਹੁਣ ਸੁਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਦੀ ਥਾਂ ਚੋਣ ਗਣਿਤ ਨੇ ਲੈ ਲਈ ਹੈ, ਜਾਂ ਬਦਲਦੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹੀ ਵਿਹਾਰਕ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਹੈ ?
