Yet Punjab has seen this story before. The leadership transition that sidelined Captain Amarinder Singh triggered one of the biggest upheavals in the party's history, eventually leading to his exit and further weakening the Congress before the 2022 elections. As history appears to echo itself, one question becomes unavoidable: Is the Congress learning from its past, or once again risking unity in the hope of preserving internal balance? ਪੰਜਾਬ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਇਕ ਵਾਰ ਫਿਰ ਉਸੇ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਰੱਸਾਕਸ਼ੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਫਸੀ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਆ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। 2027 ਦੀਆਂ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਨੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਦਾ ਚਿਹਰਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਤਾਕਤ ਕੇਂਦਰਾਂ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਸੰਤੁਲਨ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਧੜੇਬੰਦੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਣ ਲਈ ਸੰਗਠਨਾਤਮਕ ਫ਼ੈਸਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਦੇਰੀ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਇਹ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਵੀ ਦੇਖ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਹੈ। ਕੈਪਟਨ ਅਮਰਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਲੀਡਰਸ਼ਿਪ ਤੋਂ ਹਟਾਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਡਾ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਉਥਲ-ਪੁਥਲ ਹੋਇਆ, ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਨਤੀਜੇ ਵਜੋਂ ਉਹ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਖ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ 2022 ਦੀਆਂ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਹੋਰ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਹੋ ਗਈ। ਅਜਿਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਕ ਵੱਡਾ ਸਵਾਲ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ: ਕੀ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਅਤੀਤ ਤੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਸਬਕ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਅੰਦਰੂਨੀ ਸੰਤੁਲਨ ਬਣਾਈ ਰੱਖਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਕ ਵਾਰ ਫਿਰ ਆਪਣੀ ਏਕਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਦਾਅ 'ਤੇ ਲਗਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ? ਕੀ ਇਕ ਆਗੂ ਚੁਣਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਣ ਦੀ ਰਣਨੀਤੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਭਰੋਸੇ ਦੋਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ ?
