The larger question is: Are Punjab's women finally at the centre of public policy, or have they simply become the centre of every party's election strategy ? What truly earns the trust of women voters ?

ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਕੁੱਲ ਵੋਟਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਹਿੱਸੇਦਾਰੀ ਹੁਣ ਲਗਭਗ 47.5% ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪਿਛਲੀਆਂ ਕਈ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਵੋਟਿੰਗ ਦਰ ਮਰਦਾਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਉਹ ਰਾਜ ਦੀ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਰਣਾਇਕ ਵੋਟਰ ਤਾਕਤ ਬਣ ਚੁੱਕੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਮੁਫ਼ਤ ਬੱਸ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਲਈ ਭਲਾਈ ਯੋਜਨਾਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੀ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਮਾਵਾਂ-ਧੀਆਂ ਸਤਿਕਾਰ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਵਧੀ ਹੋਈ ਸ਼ਗਨ ਰਕਮ ਅਤੇ ਪੈਨਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਵਾਅਦਿਆਂ ਤੱਕ, 2027 ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹਰ ਵੱਡੀ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਜਿੱਤਣ ਦੀ ਦੌੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ। ਅਜਿਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਡਾ ਸਵਾਲ ਇਹ ਹੈ: ਕੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀਆਂ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਵਾਕਈ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਨੀਤੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਬਣ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ, ਜਾਂ ਉਹ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਹਰ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੀ ਚੋਣ ਰਣਨੀਤੀ ਦਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਬਣ ਕੇ ਰਹਿ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ ? ਆਖ਼ਿਰ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਅਸਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ?
