Punjab BJP President Kewal Singh Dhillon says Punjab received over ₹4.13 Lakh Crores from the Centre during the 12 years of the Modi Government and has presented it as proof that Punjab was not neglected. But the claim raises a tougher question before celebrating the figure, shouldn't voters also ask how it compares with what other states received during the same period ? If several states received even higher allocations, is the BJP highlighting a headline number without providing the full context ? And if Punjab has truly benefited so much, why do complaints about debt, unemployment, migration and financial stress remain at the centre of Punjab's political debate ?

Proposals - SUNLO

A) The BJP wants Punjab to focus on the amount of money received, not where Punjab ranks compared to other states.

B) A large allocation sounds impressive, but voters may wonder whether Punjab got a fair share or simply its routine share.

C) If Delhi has been so generous to Punjab, the BJP still has to explain why the party struggles to win broad political acceptance in the state.

D) Punjab's voters may ultimately judge the BJP less by the size of the cheque and more by the condition of the state after 12 years of Modi-era funding.

ਪੰਜਾਬ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਕੇਵਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਢਿੱਲੋਂ ਦਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੋਦੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ 12 ਸਾਲਾਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਨੂੰ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਤੋਂ ₹4.13 ਲੱਖ ਕਰੋੜ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਮਿਲੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਦਾ ਸਬੂਤ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਅਣਦੇਖੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਈ। ਪਰ ਇਸ ਦਾਅਵੇ ਨਾਲ ਇਕ ਵੱਡਾ ਸਵਾਲ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਇਸ ਅੰਕੜੇ ਦਾ ਜਸ਼ਨ ਮਨਾਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਕੀ ਵੋਟਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੁੱਛਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਕਿ ਇਸੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਹੋਰ ਸੂਬਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿੰਨਾ ਮਿਲਿਆ ? ਜੇ ਕਈ ਸੂਬਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਵੱਧ ਫੰਡ ਮਿਲੇ, ਤਾਂ ਕੀ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਸਵੀਰ ਦਿਖਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਬਜਾਏ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇਕ ਵੱਡਾ ਅੰਕੜਾ ਉਭਾਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ? ਅਤੇ ਜੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਏਨਾ ਲਾਭ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਕਰਜ਼ੇ, ਬੇਰੁਜ਼ਗਾਰੀ, ਪਰਵਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਵਿੱਤੀ ਸੰਕਟ ਵਰਗੇ ਮੁੱਦੇ ਅੱਜ ਵੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਸਿਆਸਤ ਦੇ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਉਂ ਹਨ ?
